Latest position on announcement of LGO Exam result

The position at Circle office Hyderabad is that the CMC authorities as well as Directorate  had not provided full information to declare the results of AP Circle. OMR sheets are wanting in some cases and Marks lists are wanting in some other cases. Tabulation will be completed only on availability of both the OMR sheets and Marks lists. Directorate was addressed to supply the wanting OMR sheets as well as Marks lists. This is the main reason for delay in announcement of result and as reported earlier, it will take another 20 days time

LGO Examination Result - Update

Aspirants in AP Circle have to wait another 20 to 30 days to know the result of LGO Examination.Tabulation of valued answer scripts received at Circle office is in initial stage and information in respect of APS candidates is wanting to finalize the result Division wise.In the mean time, there is possibility of keeping the marks of the candidates in website on receipt of  approval from the Directorate

DA rate with effect from 1.1.12 is estimated to be 65%, which an increase of 7% from the existing DA rate of 58%.


Labour Bureau, Government of India has announced the All India Consumer Price Index for Industrial workers (AICPI (IW)) for the month of December 2011 as 197. In the previous month (November-2011), AICPI (IW) was 199.

We know that to estimate Dearness Allowance Rate applicable for central government employees, All India Consumer Price Index for Industrial workers (AICPI (IW)) for the previous 12 months are required. So, based on the AICPI (IW) for the months from Jan-2011 to Dec-2011 we can easily estimate the expected dearness allowance for the Central Government employees with effect from 1.1.2012 using the following formula.

Dearness Allowance = (Avg of AICPI for the past 12 months – 115.76)*100/115.76

Postal Department applies to RBI for banking licence


Minister for Communications and IT, Mr. Kapil Sibal with MoS, Mr. Sachin Pilot, at the FICCI round table on National Postal policy 2012 , in the capital on Wednesday.

The Postal Department has applied to the Reserve Bank of India for a banking licence, the Communications Minister, Mr Kapil Sibal, said here on Wednesday.
Mr Sibal said he had written to the Finance Minister, Mr Pranab Mukherjee, to expedite the granting of licence.
Speaking on the sidelines of the postal policy round table organised by FICCI, Mr Sibal said, “A national postal policy targeting expansion and modernisation of the postal network would be announced during this year. The Government does not intend to issue licences to courier service companies, but would make it mandatory for them to register

Revision of maximum sum assured in PLI & RPLI

PLI Directorate vide notification no 25-3/2003-LI dated 17.01.2012 has revised the maximum sum assured from Rs 10 lacks to 20 Lacks in respect of PLI and from Rs 3 Lacks to 5 Lacks in respect of RPLI with effect from the date of issue of notification.

●   Review of norms for upgradation of Post Offices.
●  To study the feasibility of strengthening / creation of Postal Assistants/ Sorting Assistants posts in view of increased need of System Administrators.
●  Any other relevant issue as may be assigned by the Competent Authority later.
3. The time period of this Committee to submit its recommendations is three months.

CHARTER OF DEMANDS.
PART-A.
1) Concrete measures to contain price rise
2) Concrete measures for linkage of employment protection with the concession/incentive package offered to the entrepreneurs,
3) Strict enforcement of all basic labour laws without any exception or exemption and stringent punitive measures for violation of labour laws.
4) Universal social security cover for the unorganized sector workers without any restriction
5) Creation of a National Social Security Fund with adequate resources in line with the recommendation, of NCEUS and Parliamentary Standing Committees on Labour, Stoppage of disinvestment in Central and State PSUs, the Central Trade Unions also demand immediate action by the Govt. of India to en sure:-
6) No Contractorisatlon of work of permanent/perennial nature and payment of wages and benefits to the contract workers at the same rate as available to the regular workers of the Industry/establishment
7) Amendment of Minimum Wages Act to ensure universal coverage irrespective of the schedules and fixation of statutory minimum wage at not less than Rs 10,000/-,
8) Remove the ceilings on payment and eligibility of Bonus, Provident Fund; Increase the quantum of gratuity.
9) Scrap PFRDA Bill/New Pension Scheme; Ensure pension for all.
10) Compulsory registration of trade unions within a period of 45 days and immediate ratification of ILO conventions 67 and 96.
PART-B
1. Stop downsizing, outsourcing, contractorisation, coporatorisation and privatization of Governmental functions
2. Fill up all vacant posts and create posts on functional requirements
3. Revise wages of CGEs with effect from 1.1.2011 and every five years thereafter.
4. Regularize the GDS, daily rated workers, contingent and casual workers by brining about a definite scheme of regularization.
5. Remove restriction imposed on compassionate appointment ( end the discrimination on compassionate appointment between the Railway workers and other CGEs)
6. Stop the move to introduce the productivity linked wage system; Performance related pay; introduce PLB to in all Departments; remove the ceiling of emoluments for bonus computation.
7. Settle all items of anomalies (including the MACP related anomalies) raised in the National and Departmental Anomaly committees within a fixed time frame of two months; set up the anomaly committees in those Departments where it has not been set up till date with the Standing Committee members of the National Council; convene the meeting of the Departmental Council in all Ministries/Department once in three month as envisaged in the JCM Scheme
8. Make the right to strike a legal right and stop curtailment of T.U. rights
9. Implement all arbitration awards
10.Raise the interest rate for GPF. Revise the OTA and Night duty allowance and stitching and clothing rates of uniforms
11.Merge DA with Pay for all purposes including pension as and when the DA rates croses the 50% mark.
12.Vacate all Trade Union victimizations.

Dear Comrades and Colleagues,
            All Central Trade Unions e.g. INTUC,BMS,AITUC,CITU, HMS,AIUTUC,UTUC,LPF, SEWA and All Federations and Organizations of Central & State Government Employees  Teachers, and Employees of Central & State Public Sector undertakings have decided to organize one day All India Strike on 28th February-2012. The Postal JCA has decided to join the working class in its fighting . The tour programme of All India leaders is enclosed herewith for intensive campaign meetings at various stations.
